Nice to meet you all who are watching the Cool Japan video. This is the Higashiizu Town Tourism Association in Shizuoka Prefecture! Higashiizu Town, Kamo District, Shizuoka Prefecture is a town rich in nature located on the east coast of the Izu Peninsula. Along the coast, there are six hot spring towns: Okawa Onsen, Hokkawa Onsen, Atagawa Onsen, Katase Onsen, Shirata Onsen, and Inatori Onsen, which have developed as hot spring towns. In this first post in Cool Japan Video, we will deliver some of the charms of Higashiizu Town, Shizuoka Prefecture, including recommended sightseeing spots and activities in Higashiizu Town! ◎ Tourist information of Higashiizu Town, Shizuoka Prefecture ◆ Izu Animal Kingdom (formerly Izu Bio Park) Located on the hill of Izu Inatori Onsen, it is a comprehensive leisure land. It is also commonly known as "Anikin" and is popular. At Izu Animal Kingdom, you can see animals at a distance that is too close, and you can also enjoy feeding giraffes and tigers (white tigers)! Not only crocodiles, but also the only western red panda and Amazonian manatee in Japan! The greenhouse uses the hot spring heat of the Atagawa River, and about 5,000 species of tropical plants such as bananas and tropical water lilies are a must-see. Bananas and papayas harvested in the park can be enjoyed at the attached fruit parlor! ◆ Hokkawa Onsen Moon Road Hokkawa Onsen Moon Road, with its fantastic atmosphere, is a spot that has been selected as one of the "100 Famous Moons of Japan". The Moon Road refers to the path of the moon drawn by the light of the moon on the surface of the sea. Hokkawa Onsen Moon Road won first place in the "I want to visit" category in the "Fuji no Kuni Angel Power Spot" general election recruited from the people of Shizuoka Prefecture. It is also said that if you pray to the Moon Lord, it will come true. The best time to see the Moon Road is around the full moon! ◆ Lion Rock It is a large rock at the edge of the waves on the shore of Okawa Onsen. It is named Lion Rock because it looks like a lion lying down and howling. "Hanging ornament of chicks" refers to the custom of decorating hanging ornaments on the front side of the altar. There are a wide variety of hanging decorations, such as flowers, rabbits, peaches, purses, and third tows.
